  • Power to convert Energy from the sun - All a tree needs to grow is sunshine, water, air and soil
  • Supporting life power – One tree supports a huge amount of life, including other plants, birds, mammals and thousands of minibeasts.
  • Wonderful wood power– trees are often grown for their wood, a very strong material which we use for all sorts of things including fuel, furniture and paper.
  • Power to leaf drop – Deciduous trees lose their delicate leaves in autumn so they can survive the cold winter and so they won’t be blown over by strong winds. When spring comes they grow a whole new set of leaves.
