  • Mummy rabbits produce babies (called kits) three to four times a year, with 3-7 kits in each litter – that’s a LOT of rabbits! Kits are born blind and without any hair at all.
  • Some people believe carrying a rabbit’s foot in your pocket will bring good luck – not for the rabbit!
  • Rabbits live in underground burrows wherever the soil is soft enough to dig.  The entrance to a rabbit’s burrow is small and circular.
  • People introduced rabbits to the UK from Europe about 900 years ago, because they wanted to use them for food and fur.
